Rock Out at the MCEI annual meeting Wednesday September 8th at the Hard Rock Café!
Our annual meeting is rapidly approaching and this year’s venue and program are certain to be “A Little Different.” Annual meeting chairman and MCEI Past-President, Rod Brooks has chosen Rock and Roll for the theme and with the help of fellow MCEI board members has arrange for what is likely to be a very memorable evening.
Hard Rock Café: Cocktails, Fun, and Dinner
The event begins with cocktails at the Rooftop Terrace at Seattle’s all new Hard Rock Café. Upon arrival, register for the evening on the second floor and then head on up for cocktails (all members and guests will receive one drink ticket each, compliments of MCEI), appetizers, and a Seattle Rock History Scavenger Hunt (Yes… You can even win some valuable Hard Rock prizes).
The featured dinner entre will be Chicken Piccata and will be served in the second floor dining area at 6:15. (Please let Loretta know if you prefer the vegetarian option).
During the evening you will hear from the legendary Alex Kochan, a music industry veteran with over 30 of experience that includes roles as artist management, tour promotion, and the establishment of two major concert promotion offices in the Northwest.
As an artist manager in Los Angeles during the 1980’s he helped guide the careers of REO Speedwagon and Survivor. As the founder and owner of Artists & Audience Entertainment in New York City during the 1990’s, Alex represented Paul McCartney (Wings), Guns & Roses, and Nine Inch Nails among other big name acts. Alex is currently a Regional Vice President of AEG LIVE, having established the Northwest office in 2006. AEG LIVE is the second largest international concert promotion company, and the Northwest office includes the Showbox clubs, WaMu Theater, and produces over 300 shows per year. Alex also serves as a guest instructor for the University of Montana’s Entertainment Management Program, and serves on the board of the North American Concert Promoters Association and has recently been appointed to the Seattle City of Music Commission
